In the heart of Melides, which is just 20 minutes from the buzzing Comporta, lies the Melides Villa, rich with panoramic views of both the sea and the mountains and surrounded by greenery.

Melides itself is a small, charming village complete with a traditionally Portuguese whitewashed church and buildings dating back to the 18th century.

Melides beach is truly breath-taking; a seemingly endless stretch of bright white sand feeds into aquamarine waters that will leave you reeling.

The villa itself sleeps 10 guests and each room has air conditioning and heated flooring. Staying in the Melides Villa is luxurious I the extreme; with huge rooms, modern art work, and state-of-the-art facilities, you and your guests will want for nothing.

The villa is built around a main outdoor square, with sliding glass doors feeding onto the outdoor terrace from all angles. There is one main dining and living room complete with seating for all, a wall of glass doors feeding onto the pool, and plush cream sofas. white wooden beams line the ceiling, and there is the occasional pop of red to add some colour to the otherwise sleek muted tones of the room.

This theme is continued throughout the villa, and contemporary art can be found scattered throughout the rooms. Perhaps the pinnacle of the Melides Villa is its private library; traditional oak bookshelves run from floor to ceiling, filled with all kinds of books, and sky light sheds sunshine into this awesome room.

There are both twin and double bedrooms to choose from,, and all of them are done up in light colours to create feelings of ease. For those who wish to steal a private few minutes, or to take in the spectacular views from a different angle, there is a roof terrace.

The pool, terrace and outdoor dining area are just as stunning as the inside. Wooden decking is positioned around the huge swimming pool, which overlooks the luscious greenery of the countryside beyond. There are sunbeds for the whole party, and a special covered area has been created for those guests who are less keen on sunbathing! The two outdoor dining areas are also covered  so that you can enjoy your meals in the cool shade.
